Percussion suggests chaos while the ambient elements guide it toward a more peaceful mood. But nearly halfway through, the rest of the piece seems to sync up with the drums a little more.

This feels like a primitive version of something from Skinny Puppy's Handover album. Electro-Industrial can be really cool if done right and I think you're well on your way to doing so. Keep pushing. You'll find the effort is well worth getting to the result.
